She Looked for Cardinals
Struggling to Move Forward
What if you don’t want to move behind December 2nd? What if Christmas will be tough because it might be the last one with a family member or friend? What if it reminds you of who is not with you during the season? It is scary to move forward and very tough to be joyful when you feel like the days are filled with moments of despair.
Look For the Cardinals
My Grandmother looks for cardinals. She used to write me notes telling me about cardinals that she saw outside her window.
It wasn’t until I went bird watching a few years ago that I realized how special the cardinal is. They represent hope, warmth, and joy.
The Strength of Cardinals
They are here 12 months out of the year. They are resilient. They remind us to stay strong and keep flying during the difficult periods of life as their red feathers stand out among the dreary winter days.
In Luke chapter 2, the Angel appeared to the shepherds and told them not to be afraid and to move forward. The message offers a promise of joy. This is a message for everyone.
When the day is incredibly tough, look for things that God has given you that represent joy, warmth, and hope in your life.
You never know, you might even see a cardinal.
