Loyalty Means Royalty
Taking a Lesson from a Lions Fan
Growing up I lived with the biggest Detroit Sport’s Team Fan.
No matter how rough the season or seasons got, my brother never stopped cheering for the Pistons, Tigers, and Lions. He watched the games, wore jerseys to show his commitment and was always full of hope when he talked about “His Teams”.
He was Loyal.
Loyalty is not just a word.
It is a way of life. Loyalty is a mindset, it represents commitment. A good friend recently sent me the Lion’s opening video from the year to inspire me as a runner.
I could not help but compare the words to so many parts of my life. My faith reminds me of how important it is to be loyal.
As the Lions’ video says, “Those who are loyal know full well the cost, sacrifice, tears, laughter, joy, and pain. I never thought a heart could break so many times and keep going, yet feel so alive. Loyal people show up louder, hungrier and willing to tackle something bigger than themselves. Loyalty means royalty”.
In anything we do, especially related to our faith, the crown is only gained when we are committed, hopeful and loyal to the cause.
