Step Out Of The Pit
Finding a Way to Rediscover Happiness
Breakthrough Comes After Hitting the Bottom
I was mad. I was really upset. I felt unappreciated, unnoticed and irritated that the work I do did not seem to matter. After seeing a prompt the other night, I wrote about it.
While I was running the other night I had a thought that transformed my thinking. I realized that I was not alone. I thought about the creator. I realized that for everything he does, he is not regularly appreciated. My next thought revealed direction.
I had to get out of the pit.
While I enjoyed sitting in the pit and wallowing in my frustration, I was shown a way out of and needed to take it.
The way out looked like appreciating others.
I visualized several people that I could appreciate more. I thought about students, my kids, husband, and extended family.
Be What You Are Looking For
It made sense that positive energy would flow as I took an active roll in seeking out opportunity to give exactly what I was looking for.
I thought about the quote, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”― Mahatma Gandhi
An Emphasis on BE
Waiting to hear specific words creates negative space in my thinking. As I wait for words I miss out on opportunities, and prolong feelings of discontentment rather than a focus on gratitude and forward thinking. When my focus is on “Being”, negative energy is recycled and I take momentum and energy into the world by stepping out of the pit. I make sure other people are given a gift of words that will be a blessing.
